Planning area IV

Coordination across your advisers

One place where the personal picture is held while specialists do their own work.

Why it matters

Owners usually have competent advisers who have never spoken to one another. Decisions then get made in fragments, each defensible on its own. This is the standing work of keeping one coherent personal picture and making sure each specialist is working from it.

What the work includes

  • A maintained record of the household's financial picture and open decisions
  • Preparation before meetings with your accountant, lawyer or other specialists
  • Follow-through so agreed decisions are actually recorded and revisited

Where this work stops

Coordination is not a substitute for the underlying professional advice. Legal, tax and accounting work is performed by the professionals you engage, under their own terms and responsibility.
