Planning area III

Transition readiness

The personal questions that have to be settled before any exit conversation is useful.

Why it matters

Most transition advice begins with the company. This begins with the owner: what the household needs afterwards, what would make a given outcome sufficient, and what would make it a mistake. Answering that first changes which offers, structures and timelines are worth entertaining at all.

What the work includes

  • A written statement of what the household requires after a transition
  • The personal implications of different broad structures, described generally
  • A readiness checklist to take into conversations with your legal and tax advisers

Where this work stops

We do not value businesses, broker transactions, negotiate terms, or provide legal advice. Transaction work sits with your corporate lawyer, accountant and any adviser you appoint for the deal itself.
